About John Repoza
About John Repoza; I love playing with my vision of the world through the camera lens. I have a degree in art and psychology from Union Institute with a concentration
in visual arts. I love being outdoors and I am inspired by all the beauty in my life. I am a life-long Rhode Islander and although I like to travel, I love coming home to the biggest little state. I also do a Japaneses style of printmaking called Gyotaku (Japanese éšæ‹“, from gyo 'fish' + taku 'rubbing'), which is the traditional method of Japanese fish printing, dating from the mid-1800s. This form of nature printing may have been used by fishermen to record their catches, but has also become an art form on its own. I have been featured in local Rhode Island galleries and I have sold many original works. I am also a cancer survivor and I treat each day like a blessing. I hope you enjoy my work and that it brings you joy.
